The Walls are Up!

It looks like a real building now!!!!

Scot has done a fantastic job on his shed/garage, if I do say so myself!

He could not have done it without the help of our friend, Larry. He has been a huge help! Thanks, Larry!

We Have Walls!!!

Our friend Larry came and helped Scot with the first few walls. We are so thankful for his help!

They are getting ready to lift the first 8 ft section in place.

Down she goes!

Scot and Larry working on the corner.

He is so excited...can you tell?

It is so exciting to see it coming together!

The Walls are Going Up!

Today, Scot is out at the land building the walls to our long awaited shed/garage.

I still don't really know what to call it ...a shed sounds so small and it is anything BUT small.

A garage sounds like we will be parking our car in it, which we aren't.

This shed/garage combo will be Scot's workshop, a place where he can build things, fix things and store all his tools and garden equipment.

There will also be a "back room" for storage....lots and lots of storage!!! Something we are in desperate need of!

I will update with pictures at the end of his work day today...so be sure to check back!

It is Concrete Day!

The truck arrives on a very foggy morning.

The first of many yards of concrete to be poured today!

Fianlly reaching the end .....

Nice and smooth. The guys did a fantastic job!

By the way, E took all the pics in this post. Didn't she do a FANTASTIC job?!?

Our Helpers

Scot let the kids have some scrap wood. They enjoyed using all the different tools to create their own mini projects.

They are loving being out at the land with daddy especially when it gets dark and he has to crank up the generator to run the lights!

Day 2 on the Shed/Garage

The dirt man came out pretty early this morning. Thankfully, Scot took the camera and was able to document for me today.

Scot used Larry's tractor again to help spread it all out.

Starting to build the trenches for the forms.

I know Scot is so thankful to have little machines like this compactor - can you imagine doing it the old fashion way??!

B is loving being out there with his daddy. What a good helper he has been!

E has also enjoyed getting in on the action! She loves to be daddy's helper as much as B does.

Here is how it looked after the compacting work was complete.

Now we are ready for another load of dirt and will have to do it all over again tomorrow!
