The School Bell

I saw this bell at TJMaxx and knew I wanted it for the school room. It wasn't a necessity so I put off buying it saying there were more important things the new house needed. Well, my sweet husband, secretly bought it for me one night when we were in there...he is such a good man!

Now it hangs outside of the school room door and is rang often! They think it will be cool to ring the bell every morning for school to start just like they do on Little House on the Praire...lol!

Progress...

Last night Scot was able to finish building the first two desks. Don't they look awesome!?!? He always does such an amazing job!

Cubbies on either side of the desk will be used for their school books and other supplies.

He even got started on the other two on the other side of the room!

Homeschool Desks

A homeschool room for has been a dream of mine for several years. When we built this house, it was a must have! I researched, planned, and saved pictures of elements that I wanted to use in the space. Now seeing it come together is getting me all gitty!

Scot has started to build the desks and it really is making the room take shape! Over the weekend,  he bought his supplies and cut out all the pieces for the four desks.

Monday Night, he started building....

and was able to get one completed.

Home Tour - B's Bathroom

B's bathroom is also the guest bathroom so I wanted to make sure it was not too kiddish.

I LOVE the paint color in here. It is called Shark Loop by Valspar! It is a beautiful grey/blue.

White subway tile -done by my sweet husband! Many long hours working to get all the tile work done in the house!

Scot found these cool square shaped bathroom  faucets on clearance. Perfect for something a little more masculine for our boy and saving money in the process!

Continuing with the square shape we found these light fixtures at Lowe's and the square mirror from Kirkland's. The mirror was only $15. You can really save some money when you shop outside the box!

The bathroom cabinet we got a steal of a deal on. You can read about it again here.

Home Tour - The girl's bathroom

This is the girl's Jill-and-Jill bathroom as we like to call it :) Having 3 girls share a bathroom was a challenge because I wanted to plan for when they are all teenagers and using the vanity area a lot more! We inset the vanity area so their is plenty of room to walk behind each other if they are wanting to go to the toliet/shower room. That helps tremendously with making it feel more spacious!

We bought this cabinet at Lowe's. You can read about the good deal we got on it here. We had the painters paint it the same Aged Barrel color we painted the master vanity.

The mirror's came from Kirkland's for $18 each!

The wall color is called Chenille Spread by Olympic (#8097). I love the pale pink and brown together!

Home Tour- Master Bedroom and Bath

These are not very good pictures of our bedroom, but I thought I would go ahead a show them to you. Sorry they are so dark!

The paint color is Warm Carmel by Glidden. I also used the Warm Carmel in the bathroom to unify the spaces.

The tub area is the first you see when you walk in to the bathroom. The shower is to the left.

The chandelier above the tub is one of my favorites! I got it at HD for $90! Well worth it to add a little bling to the bathroom!

Scot did all the tile work in the bathrooms. Didn't he do a fabulous job with the tile???

Love the Roman faucets!

The double vanity is custom cabinets with a custom made mirror frame above.

This is the shower entrance.

Can you believe this was Scot's first time doing tile work.... I think he did an awesome job!!!!!

We LOVE having the bench seat in here! It goes perfectly with the rain shower above :)
