First Night Home

The first night in our new house we camped out in the upstairs family room. It was full of lots of fun and excitement to be finally living our dream!

 

The Bonfire

We had a bonfire burning off all the little pieces of wood that were no longer needed. It was the kind of bonfire that just screamed roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. So that is just what we did. It was such a great time spent together as a family! We will definitely build a permanent bonfire spot in the back yard so we can have lots of bonfires in the future!

Fantastic News

We are breaking ground on the new house TOMORROW!

 I can't wait! It has been a long time coming and now it is FINALLY here!  I will show you what all gets accomplished tomorrow night!

Update on the House

I am excited to share with you that we signed the contract with our builder today! Tomorrow we will send in the paperwork to the bank so they can do an appraisal on our plans. This should take about a week.

Depending on the outcome, we will then meet with the bank, sign the construction loan and COULD break ground in about 3 weeks or so! Excited is not even the word!

I will keep you updated!

First Meeting with the Builder

We met with the builder today. It was so much fun!

This is something that we have dreamed of for a while now and I have been saving ideas just waiting for the time to come...and now it has!!!

I am not sure he was expecting me to bring so many pictures and files and plans, but he was gracious and patiently listened.

We will be meeting with him again after Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see what he has come up with for our dream house!

The Offer

We got an offer on our house today. I cannot tell you how excited we have been. I know God's timing is perfect, but it has been a long year!

We have started negations.....I will let you know as soon as we get the official word!

I still can't believe that we may be about 30 days away from starting construction of our dream house!!!!

A House Full of Memories link

As many of you know, we put our home on the market this past summer. Although I am a little sad about leaving a house full of memories, I am so looking forward to building our dream home.
