Completed

Lots of aches and pains later but the floors are done!  Scot finished them today at 2 AM. He is so excited to be through. He did an amazing job ....he paid attention to so many details that really makes it look SO good!

The crews will come in later today and install the quarter rounds and finish any trimwork that had to wait till the floors were down.

Driveway

It may not be much to you, but we are SO excited to finally have a driveway! They installed the drainage pipe and packed it down with red clay. We still have to finish it out, but at least for now we are able to use a real driveway :)

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Another quick weekend project was painting this auction mirror the same watermelon color as the butterflies. (Rememeber my auction story,  if not click on the link!)

A fun fact is that when I took the mirror out it was stamped 1966 (which explains the ugly gold color!)
What once was an outdated mirror has turned into a real beauty with just a little spray paint! Don't you agree?

Septic Tank

They installed the septic tank yesterday. Not very exciting, but a necessary part of building a house.

Pink Butterflies

We are all getting excited about moving to our new house later this month! So when we had a warm day this weekend, we jumped at the opportunity to tackle a few quick projects for the girl's rooms.

I got 3 of these little butterflies at the thrift store for $2.00. (The funny thing is I remember my mom having these butterflies in her kitchen when I was growing up, but hers were yellow :)

We spray painted them a lovely watermelon color.

We are all happy with the results and I think the pink will look great against the turquoise walls.
