Transom Windows

Another detail that I just love are transom windows. We decided long again that they were something we were going to add to our house. They really add a lot of "old house character".

I fell in love with this fireplace when I saw this picture on the Southern Living website.

Isn't it gorgeous?! I love the wide plank surround. It really makes a new construction seem like it has been around for years which is exactly what I am hoping to achieve in our home.
